Integrity Financial Services Guide

Clear information before you choose an extended warranty

The Financial Services Guide provides important information about the financial services connected with eligible Integrity warranty products available through Warranty Finder.

It explains who issues the warranty, Warranty Finder’s role, the type of information we can provide, how the parties involved may be remunerated and what to do if you have a complaint.

Please read the current Financial Services Guide together with the Product Disclosure Statement and Target Market Determination before purchasing a warranty.

What is a Financial Services Guide?

A Financial Services Guide, or FSG, is intended to help you make an informed decision about whether to use a financial service.

The guide provides information about:

  • the business providing the financial service;
  • the Australian Financial Services Licence under which the service is provided;
  • the services an authorised representative may provide;
  • relationships between the product issuer and distributor;
  • commissions or other remuneration that may apply;
  • privacy and compensation arrangements; and
  • the process for raising and resolving a complaint.

The FSG explains the financial service surrounding the warranty. It does not replace the Product Disclosure Statement, which contains the detailed terms of the warranty itself.

Warranty Finder’s role

Warranty Finder is operated by:

The Trustee for Lyncol Unit Trust
ABN: 46 857 651 231
Authorised Representative Number: 1270114

Warranty Finder is authorised to offer eligible Integrity warranty products on behalf of Integrity Car Care Pty Ltd

Our role may include:

  • helping you identify warranty options available for your vehicle or asset;
  • providing information about pricing, warranty periods and cover levels;
  • explaining listed components, claim limits and additional benefits;
  • providing access to the relevant disclosure documents;
  • collecting the information needed to arrange your selected warranty; and
  • assisting with general enquiries about your purchase.

Information provided by Warranty Finder is factual in nature. It does not consider your individual objectives, financial situation or needs.

You should review the applicable documents and decide whether the warranty is suitable for your circumstances.

Documents you should read

Before purchasing an Integrity warranty, review the documents applying to the specific product and cover level you are considering.

Financial Services Guide

The FSG explains the financial service, the organisations involved, remuneration arrangements and the complaints process.

Product Disclosure Statement

The Product Disclosure Statement, or PDS, contains the detailed warranty terms, including:

  • the components or parts that may be covered;
  • maximum claim limits;
  • eligibility requirements;
  • servicing and maintenance obligations;
  • excluded parts, failures and circumstances;
  • additional benefits;
  • the claims process;
  • cancellation provisions; and
  • other important conditions.

Target Market Determination

The Target Market Determination, or TMD, describes the group of customers for whom the product has been designed and the conditions under which it may be distributed.

A TMD does not provide personal advice and does not form part of the warranty’s contractual terms. Integrity’s current TMD directs customers to the relevant PDS for the product’s complete terms, exclusions and conditions.

Warranty schedule

Your warranty schedule contains information specific to your purchase, such as:

  • your name;
  • vehicle or asset details;
  • selected warranty;
  • commencement and expiry dates;
  • cover level;
  • warranty cost; and
  • other product-specific information.

These documents should be considered together.

Understanding a discretionary risk product

Integrity warranties are discretionary risk products. They are not insurance policies.

Under a discretionary risk product, you have the right to submit an eligible claim and have it considered by Integrity. Approval and the amount of assistance provided are determined in accordance with the applicable warranty terms, claim limits and Integrity’s discretion.

Purchasing a warranty does not guarantee that every mechanical failure or repair will be covered.

Before purchasing, make sure you understand:

  • which components are listed for cover;
  • the maximum amount available for a claim;
  • the exclusions applying to the warranty;
  • the vehicle or asset eligibility requirements;
  • the servicing intervals you must follow;
  • when prior claim authorisation is required;
  • any diagnostic or repair costs you may need to pay; and
  • the circumstances in which a claim may be declined.

Integrity’s current documentation confirms that customers are entitled to have their request for discretionary assistance considered, but do not have the same right to indemnity that applies under an insurance policy.

Servicing and customer responsibilities

Warranty benefits are subject to the conditions contained in the applicable PDS.

Depending on the product, you may be required to:

  • service the vehicle or asset within specified time and kilometre intervals;
  • use an appropriately licensed or qualified repairer;
  • retain service invoices and maintenance records;
  • keep the vehicle registered and roadworthy;
  • report a potential claim promptly;
  • obtain Integrity’s approval before repairs begin; and
  • take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.

Failing to meet an applicable servicing or claims requirement may affect whether assistance is provided.

Always rely on the current PDS for the exact requirements applying to your selected warranty.

Australian Consumer Law rights

An extended warranty is optional.

You may already have rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that can apply to goods supplied by a dealer, manufacturer or other business.

An extended warranty does not remove or restrict any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Before purchasing, consider:

  • whether another warranty already applies;
  • whether the manufacturer’s warranty remains current;
  • whether dealer statutory warranty protection applies;
  • the consumer guarantees available to you; and
  • the additional protection provided by the extended warranty.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law exist independently of the Integrity warranty.

Remuneration and commissions

Warranty Finder may receive remuneration when an eligible Integrity warranty is purchased through our service.

The applicable Financial Services Guide explains how authorised representatives and other parties may be remunerated.

You may request further information about remuneration relating to your proposed warranty before completing the purchase.
